PRELOVED IN-STORE EVENT 2/22/09

Alter is pleased to announce the arrival of the Women's spring '09 collection from Canadian fashion house Preloved. In honor of this new collection Alter will be hosting an in-store launch party/shopping event with Preloved founder Julia Grieve and members of the Preloved team from Toronto. The event will take place at the Alter Women's shop located at 140 Franklin Street in Brooklyn, NY on Sunday, February 22nd, from 7PM to 9PM.

Guests at the event will be the first to view, try and buy the latest pieces from Preloved, as well as have an opportunity to meet and greet with the brains behind the ever growing Preloved operation. Champagne will be served throughout the event.

Items from the Preloved spring collection which will be debuted at this event include tunics, cardigans, dresses, skirts and tee's ranging in price from $129.00 to $250.00. Each and every garment is made (in Canada) from reclaimed items such as button down shirts, trench coats, vintage curtains, sweaters and wool trousers which are cut and sewn into marvelous one of a kind pieces with a strong sense of design, style and fit. There will be approximately 60 women's pieces available at the Alter launch party/shopping event. Several Men's styles will be available at Alter in March.

Alter has been stocking Preloved since the Fall of 2007. According to Tommy Cole and Roy Caires (co-owners/buyers for Alter Men's & Women's shops) every Preloved collection thus far has sold out out in a matter of weeks. The wearable, fashion forward looks from Preloved have become a favorite among the Alter clientele, as well as models, actors and musicians such as Angela Lindvall, Hillary Duff, Maria Menounos, Anne Hathaway, Christine Horne, Kate Hudson and Daria Werbowy.
